Unprecedentedly, eight players had withdrawn from the Black Stars squad to face both Angola and Niger in the last phase of the AFCON 2025 qualifier game.

As reported by the local media, players including Inaki Williams, Jerome Opoku, Tariq Lamptey, and Alexander Djiku have all pulled out of the squad due to persistent injuries.

Antoine Semenyo, Ibrahim Osman, and Jonas Adjetey also complained of injury, except Joseph Painstil, who withdrew from the team due to personal issues.

In a twist of fate, coach Otto Addo has drafted Osman Bukari, Ransford Yeboah Koningsdorffer, Forson Amankwa, Terry Yegbe, Ebenezer Annan, and Kingsley Schindler into the team.

Ghana is scheduled to face Angola on Friday, November 15, 2024, and Niger on Monday, November 18, 2024.

Angola tops Group F with 12 points, followed by Sudan with 7 points.

Ghana is trailing at the third position with just 2 points after 4 matches.
